Zadig&Voltaire

Zadig & Voltaire took off in 1997 when Thierry Gillier, whose great-uncle was André Gillier, co-founder of Lacoste, decided to create his own ready-to-wear brand of luxury.
The name of the brand is inspired by the emblematic character of Voltaire, Zadig, whose heroism, charisma and avant-garde spirit marked Thierry Gillier.
Young audiences were quickly won over by the "hipster" side of the brand with its rock trend, its skulls and angels... The knits as well as the lined cashmere are the brand's signature.
The brand first oriented itself towards a female audience before creating its range for men. After opening its first store in Paris, Zadig & Voltaire flew to Asia where many stores opened before expanding to European capitals and the United States.
On the sidelines of the ready-to-wear, the brand launched its range of glasses, watches, bags, shoes, its music label and finally perfumes in 2012.
