E. Coudray 

1822. under the reign of Louis XVIII, Edmond Coudray, a medical chemist, became a supplier of colognes, creams, soaps, powders and other ointments to the main royal courts. He concocted luxurious, precious perfumes such as "Rêve de reine", "Gants poudrés"... With L.T. Piver, Lubin, Houbigant and Guerlain, the house became one of the five greatest perfumeries of the 19th century. On the death of Edmond Coudray in 1860 the company was taken over by his son-in-law. Since then, the company will never change its name... and will remain under the impetus of its various owners, always faithful to the spirit of tradition, quality and refinement which had been at its origin.
