Since the 1930s, researchers have been working on the different components of skincare products. their goal: to synthesize new elements in order to create and improve their moisturizing and anti-aging potential. This is the case of the Lancaster brand, founded in 1946 by Georges Wurz and Doctor Eugène Frezzati, a cosmetics specialist. At that time, women only used a simple moisturizer for the face. Georges and Eugène have the idea of ​​creating new products more suited to the needs of each of them (hand milk, day cream, night cream for the face, etc …).

In the 1950s, the skincare range developed well. The Lancaster company then works on ranges of make-up and perfumes, and thus extends the company internationally. But what gave Lancaster its current reputation was obtaining the title of official purveyor to Her Serene Highness Grace of Monaco in 1970.

From then on, the flourishing company continued to improve and innovate its products, keeping a certain lead over other skincare brands. In 1978, the brand turned to sunscreen thanks to the work of certain elements such as retinol or vitamin A, notably allowing the creation of tanning accelerating products, while giving protection to the skin.

At Lancaster, we find many quality sunscreen products, as well as fragrances that have left their mark on generations of women, such as Bath & Cosmetic, a sweet floral and amber fragrance perfect for summer, but also Sole di Capri, which can be worn under the sun, a unique fragrance from the Lancaster brand perfect for tanning sessions on the beach.
