EAU SUAVE Eau de Parfum
EAU SUAVE by PARFUM D'EMPIRE is a tribute to Marie-Josèphe-Rose de Tascher de La Pagerie who NAPOLEON BONAPARTE married in 1796 and was henceforth known as Joséphine. In 1804 she was crowned Empress.
In the head we encounter the ubiquitous rose notes that, along with coriander and saffron, recall the spices of Joséphine's childhood in Martinique. In the heart peppery and fruity notes are added: the latter stem from raspberry and peach, which in turn accompany an enchanting tea rose. The base completes this lovely, but quite characteristic fragrance with hints of oakmoss, white musk and patchouly and Bourbon vanilla.
Joséphine's great passion was botany and she was especially infatuated with the rose. She breathed new life into the gardens of the Château de Malmaison by cultivating all known varieties of roses in the world there. She also planted exotic flowers and shrubs on from her Caribbean homeland. Her vision was to give a France a greater botanical diversity with the cuttings from her gardens. With EAU SUAVE we come closer to her dream.
