Diesel is one of the most famous ready-to-wear brands in the world. Its story begins in 1978 when Renzo Rosso, just 18 years old, and his ex-boss Adriano Goldschmied (founder of AG jeans) created the Diesel company. It was therefore an Italian ready-to-wear company, and Renzo designed his own clothes.

The brand first started by selling jeans for men and women, in a rather extravagant style due to its worn-looking pants, which are very popular with teenagers, then it evolved to suit a more adult audience. In 1985 Renzo became the sole owner of the company, and in 1996 he opened his first company flagship store on Lexington Avenue in New York City.

Some time later, Renzo Rosso decided to go into perfumery. It was then that the very first Diesel perfume was created, quickly followed by other fragrances such as Diesel Zero, and Green.

In 2006, Diesel signed an exclusive distribution agreement with L'Oréal. New perfumes are thus emerging such as the famous Fuel For Life, an elixir of freshness due to the vetiver present in the perfume, followed by notes of star anise, grapefruit, light floral notes of lavender and heliotrope, accompanied by raspberry. and woody notes. Then released in 2009, the series Only The Brave, a perfect representation of the strong, courageous and daring man. Then in 2011 came the brand's best-known women's fragrance: Loverdose: an oriental scent with notes of lemon and tangerines that give it a tangy side, followed by a floral bouquet of jasmine and gardenia, all in a tone quite warm thanks to the notes of cedarwood and sandalwood and ending with a sweet touch of vanilla.
