This iconic English brand was created in 1856 by Thomas Burberry and was originally a company making men's coats and raincoats.

The company became famous in the 1880s when it patented a fabric resistant to rain and cold, gabardine was born and came in 5 types of suitable thicknesses to different climates. The British army was also called upon to Burberry during the First World War to make the clothes of the soldiers in the war of the trenches. The famous "trench coat" was born at that time and will remain a symbol of the brand just like the brand crest with the knight in armor.

Burberry also specializes in making travel bags, scarves, umbrellas, hats and sportswear. Thomas Burberry became the official dresser of King George V in 1919. The famous Scottish motif appeared in 1924 with the white, black and camel tartan which remains the symbol of the brand worldwide and which has since been constantly imitated and counterfeited. The company transformed itself over the years into a real Luxury House while keeping a conservative side.

The Burberry perfume line was born and famous Burberry Women's Perfumes such as "My Burberry" appeared as well as a range Perfume Burberry Homme with for example the mythical "Mr Burberry".
