Comptoir Sud Pacifique sees its origin in the alliance between the overflowing imagination of creativity and the desire for freedom of a young couple in love. It all started in 1974, when Josée and Pierre Fournier both shared the same passion, that of travel and discovery. Each of their journeys is marked by memories that they bring back with them, such as flowers, spices or even fruit. All these fragrances give them the idea of ​​creating perfumes made from the products they bring back from their travels. The goal is to share the sensations they felt during their adventures. They then opened boutiques in the cities of Paris, Saint-Tropez, and Biarritz in which they sold their perfumes such as Aqua Motu, Eau des Lagons, Aloha Tiaré and many others, but also objects such as luggage and other accessories related to the world of travel. They are also gradually implementing an exclusive olfactory concept, which is to combine the various fragrances with each other, to create unique scents.

In 2002, they sold their company: the new buyers reduced the number of fragrances, stopped the sale of accessories, and closed the shops to turn to multi-brand sales, which which has the consequence of reducing the turnover enormously and reducing the notoriety of the brand.
But in 2010, the company was bought by Valérie Pianelli-Guichard. Its purpose is to reconnect with the fundamentals of the brand, which it does brilliantly. She therefore brings up to date some of the great classics of the Sud Pacifique house, takes up the principle of mixing fragrances and creating 30 ml pocket sizes to take her favorite perfumes with you on a trip!
