Thierry Mugler is a designer born in 1948 in Strasbourg. Attracted by everything related to art, at the age of 9 he took up classical dance and then joined the ballet of the Opéra du Rhin at the age of 14. This experience opens his mind to theater and stage and costume games. A few years later, he studied interior design at a school of decorative arts in Strasbourg, and then at the age of 21 moved to Paris.

At the age of 26, Thierry Mugler decided to become an independent designer and work for major ready-to-wear houses. In 1973, he created his very first collection: He sought to unveil a new image of the "hyper feminine" woman. Halfway between classicism and avant-gardism, his creations highlight a sleek and sexy silhouette. Little by little, he acquired an international reputation and then wanted to expand his activity.

It was in 1990 that he founded his own company of Thierry Mugler perfumes. His idea is to create a new scent, a gourmet perfume with "a smell of something you like to eat". Inspired by his childhood memories, he then developed a scent drawn from a mixture of chocolate and praline, all accentuated by patchouli. Thus in 1992, the Angel perfume made its appearance, the first gourmet perfume in the history of perfumery. Since then, he continues to surprise us with his classic A★Men, Alien, or Womanity.
